This pottery horse of the Northern Qi period is depicted with an exaggerated high curve on the neck giving the animal a more majestic look. The four legs of the horse are shown standing straight without much movement. The face of the dignitary figure resembles the Buddha sculptures produced in the period – calm and peaceful showing dignity.
