This is a round container to be used by the Lamma. This bowl is carved out from one solid piece of wood, and then it is lacquered. The lacquer helps to protect the wood from moving. This type of bowl was used by the Lamma to store food. Therefore this bowl is sometimes referred to as a Lamma bowl. This bowl is from inner Mongolia.
