This armchair is called “Rose Chairs” in Chinese. Rose chairs were made for decoration, and were usually placed under the window. The back of this chair is decorated with simple geometric work. The arms are strengthened by supporting stiles which divert the weight to the seat. On all the four sides of the legs, there is a stretcher. Below the seat, on each side, an extra stretcher is used to strengthen the construction.
