Yokeback Armchairs (Pair)

This armchair exhibits elaborate decoration enriched with auspicious blessings (orchids, peonies, plum blossoms, chrysanthemums, vases, ruyi-shaped cloud-heads and bamboo!)

The crestrail terminals and hanging spandrels are carved as flourishing ruyi and luxuriant foliage – symbolic in their respective wish-fulfilling capacity, with the promise of abundance and prosperity. The framed backrests feature panels with peonies and chrysanthemums – omens of good fortune and longevity.
